Last November, after completing The Yak Attack in November, Cory Wallace (world 24 hour wembo champion) started on an unsupported venture to ride his mtb from Besi Sahar to Beni in less than 24 hours. Although only a 220km trip, this was by no way an easy ride! Going from elevations of 798m to a staggering 5,416m above sea level and approximately 6,500m of climbing – it was a brutal trip.
As a bid of continuity, Cory Wallace and a team of Nepal riders will complete the trip again this year, racing against each other to complete the trip in the fastest time. They will use the Yak Attack race as a way of acclimatising and following on from this they will do the same route from Besi Sahar to Beni as an adventure style race.
We are wanting to raise $5,000 USD to be able to sustain the training centre for a year.
Raised so Far 00%
This will include the rent, nutrition, coaching costs, maintenance and upkeep for the coaching centre. As well as raising money to support the costs associated with running the centre, we will also be looking for donations of items to be used by the riders as an adjunct to their training.
